Mini’s & Juniors

Pinner Rugby club has an active  Minis / Junior section, that train from September until April, on Sunday’s 10:30am to 12 noon with some of the younger age groups finishing at 11:30am.

In May the club switch to summer fun training and fitness to keep the children active till the end of the school year in July, when we all take a well-deserved break for the summer holidays.

The club has a big focus on the children having fun, as this is the best way to learn, the club has a strong ethos on the RFU core values of TREDS.

TREDS; (Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship)

We encourage all who participate to demonstrate these values.

We currently have age groups from U7 to U13, but also have a popular Rugby Pellys section for U6, in which the young players learn the basics of rugby, whilst having so much fun. It is always great to see all the children grow through the years, in size and ability, hopefully one day to turn out for the Pinner RFC Senior Team.

At Pinner Rugby Club we welcome all players Boys & Girls regardless of ability, they along with their families will receive a warm welcome.

We ensure our children are properly trained before they participate in any contact, this is tailored to the Individual needs by utilising skill zones so we can break sessions down to give individual coaching as and when required.

All our coaches are DBS checked and are either ex-players or still turn out for the odd game. Coaches are RFU qualified to ensure that are up to date with the latest innovations and Law changes in the game.

Pinner RFC is a small family friendly club; we concentrate the training on the player’s individual needs, so we are centric in our approach to developing the child not just the player. We ensure the half game rule is adhered to, regardless of ability so all children will play a minimum of half a game. Allowing them to put their training into practice.

Pinner RFC will play in tournaments or friendly matches against other clubs, home and away, this helps build a great level of confidence within the young players, as well as all the attributes of TREDS.

As a family-oriented club one of our focuses is ensuring parents are able to be involved so they feel part of the club, Volunteers are always required in helping with teas & coffee, serving and preparing food, helping with the tuck shop, behind the bar, cleaning up after training ,  helping to organise the minis tour , to becoming a first aider, there are also opportunities to progress to help in coaching if interested. We support the RFUs Keep Your Boots On program.

Over the previous two years we have run a successful  minis tour, which has seen families travel away for the weekend, this is a great chance for the  families to come together to socialise but also for the children to participate in a tournament with other children from around the country….with the fancy dress BBQ being one of the great highlights of the weekend.

So why not give us a TRY. We offer a two-week free trial with no obligation, just bring your boots and sportswear and we will do the rest, we would love to see you become part of the Pinner family.
