CODE OF CONDUCT
At Pinner RFC, we believe rugby is more than just a game – it's about respect, teamwork, and enjoying the sport in a safe and inclusive environment.
This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for players, coaches, officials, and spectators, to ensure we uphold the values of rugby and create a positive experience for everyone involved.
For Players

Respect the Game
Learn the laws of rugby and always play within them. -
Respect Referees and Opponents
Accept the referee’s decisions without complaint and show respect to everyone on the field, including your opponents. -
Teamwork & Sportsmanship
Play for the love of the game. Support your teammates, work hard, celebrate fairly, and handle losses with dignity. -
Play Safe
Learn safe techniques and always wear the right kit for training and matches. -
Be Prepared and Positive
Turn up on time, ready to play, and bring a good attitude to every session. -
No Abuse or Bullying
Treat everyone with respect. Bullying, abuse, or discrimination will not be tolerated – on or off the pitch.
For Coaches
-
Focus on Development and Enjoyment
Remember rugby is just one part of a young person's life. Make sessions fun, build skills, and nurture confidence. -
Be Inclusive
Every player matters. Don’t favour star performers – ensure all players get a fair chance to participate. -
Promote Positive Behavior
Encourage players with constructive feedback. Never ridicule or humiliate. -
Lead by Example
Set the standard for good conduct. Avoid swearing, taunting, or making inappropriate comments.
For Spectators
-
Support with Respect
Cheer positively and support all players. Avoid shouting criticism at referees, players, or coaches. -
Respect the Club
Help look after the grounds and facilities. Treat the clubhouse, pitches, and equipment with care.
Club-Wide Values
-
Safety and Wellbeing First
Everyone has the right to feel safe. Abuse, neglect, or unsafe behavior has no place at Pinner RFC. -
Fair Play Always
We don’t tolerate gamesmanship, time-wasting, or actions that undermine the spirit of the game. -
Pride in Representation
Whether you're playing, coaching, or watching, remember you're representing Pinner RFC – your behavior reflects on the club and the wider rugby community. -
Shared Responsibility
This Code of Conduct applies to everyone. It helps us all understand what’s expected and holds us accountable for our actions.
By being part of Pinner RFC, you agree to uphold these standards. Let’s work together to keep rugby respectful, inclusive, and fun for all.
