Parents & Volunteers
At Pinner RFC, we fully recognise the vital role that parents and volunteers play in our rugby community. Your time, commitment, and support are key to the success and wellbeing of our young players.
The RFU Safeguarding Team values this contribution and wants to ensure you're equipped with the tools and knowledge to help create a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
Parents
-
As a parent, your involvement in your child’s rugby journey can have a lasting impact. Here's how you can support both your child and the club:
-
Connect with the Club Safeguarding Officer (CSO): Introduce yourself and your child. Share any relevant care or support needs, medical issues, allergies, and ensure the CSO has up-to-date contact and emergency details.
-
Be present: Your presence at training sessions and matches makes a real difference. It encourages your child and helps foster a strong sense of community at the club.
-
Know your responsibilities: Familiarise yourself with the club’s safeguarding policies and understand your role in keeping rugby a safe space for all children.
Volunteers
Whether you're coaching, helping on match day, or supporting behind the scenes, volunteers are essential to grassroots rugby. To support you in this role, we’ve compiled a resource library, developed by the RFU Safeguarding Team. This collection provides clear guidance based on the RFU Safeguarding Policy and Regulation 21, along with practical advice for everyday situations.
Key resources include:
