Morning All,
As you are all aware we held the end of season dinner on Saturday and before the wine and beer fully kicked in we held a secret ballot for who would be the Club Captain for next year.
All three candidates were asked to give a two minute presentation (no power point slides allowed) and all three presented very well. Charlie Blowers was first up followed by Liam O'Malley and then James "Jesus" O'Brien.
The votes were counted on Sunday by Dave Hiles and I am pleased to say that Charlie Blowers has been voted in as next seasons Club Captain - Congratulations to Charlie and all of the other candidates on the very professional way they conducted themselves.
This possibly was not the case with the rest of the Club who tried to empty the bar of all alcohol - marvellous evening and thanks to Ash for working the bar.
The celebrations were made even more enjoyable as the 2nd team beat Finsbury 2nd's that afternoon in the semi final of the cup 29-7 and now progress through to the final to be held on Saturday 28th April, well done to Lee and all the boys. The final will be sandwiched between the U15's and U17's awards night on Friday 27th April and the Mini awards on Sunday 29th April at noon.
Please mark your diaries for Saturday 23rd June for the Rugby Workforce Day and Club AGM, more details to follow.
See you all on the 28th
Cheers, Robin Pinner RFC
